1968 Chevrolet Camaro 1968 CAMARO A/T P/S Vin: 124378N483173 This started out as a 327 Camaro with Automatic Transmission, manual disc-brakes and power steering. A frame off restoration was completed with over 40K spent. It now has a small block 400 engine with less than 2k miles on the restoration. Body is original looking; it has the original floors, doors and fenders. The hood was replaced and it has the cowl induction on it now. The body is very clean and straight. The paint is very nice and body lines are better than factory. The engine has been replaced with a small block 400 cid and mild cam installed. It has factory aluminum 4 barrel intake with a Holley 650cfm carburetor, the original small block valve covers and a 2800 rpm stall converter with a rebuilt Automatic transmission. All new components were installed - new water pump, alternator, fuel pump, radiator, radiator hoses, alternator and Power steering belts, Powder coated Headman headers with dual exhaust and flow master mufflers, Chrome P/S and Alternator brackets, MSD distributor and coil were installed along with a MSD 6AL box mounted in interior. Interior: the interior is very nice. It was an original Ash Gold from the factory and the interior was Ash gold. The interior is now all new with correct black seat covers, door panels, quarter trim panels, dash pad, headliner, sun visors, carpet, package tray, arm rests, inside door handles, window handles, kick panels, scuff plates, wind lace. The console looks new. It has a set of after market gages under the dash and all are working. It does have a Tach mounted on the steering column. The instrument cluster is new and seat belts are new. It has an AM/FM Radio with trunk mount CD/Player. Body: the body looks great. Panels are straight and paint work was done nicely. It is the factory 1968 red paint with black stripes. It did not come this way; THIS COLOR WAS THE OWNER’S PREFERENCE. The front and rear bumpers are new as is the bumper guards front and rear. All outside moldings were replaced including windshield and rear glass moldings. A new windshield was installed at that time also. The weather stripping was replaced around doors, roof rail, belt liners and trunk. This is a very nice car to be driven. As stated above, it has about 2K miles on it since the restoration. And with over $40K spent to restore, this car is a very good investment. ST 68-12437-NOR 184495 Body TR - 712 - GG - paint.
