1965 A/C COBRA (SUPERFORMANCE) Built in 2005/2006 - title as a 1965 Ford Replica. SUPERFORMANCE WAS ORDERED IN 2005 AND COMPLETED IN 2006. The car was purchased from McMichael Motorsports Inc., Braselton GA. - Imported by Superformance Newport News, VA. CHASSIS NUMBER SPO2256 The MRK III ROADSTER Chassis / Amulet RED/Saddle Seats The interior was ordered with special Tan seats which cost an additional $1200.00 OVER the standard seat covers. The Cobra has the optional Hardtop ($2800.00) with side curtains (sliding windows) and the convertible top. It even has the Tonneau cover. It also comes with Heater Box / Defroster. The interior is just great! All gauges work and has Shelby’s autograph on glove box. The options are many: Superformance engineered race proven chassis; Four wheel independent suspension; bilstein coil over progressive shocks with H&R springs; Four wheel vented disc-brakes ( Wilwood 4 PISTON Calipers); power assisted brakes; hydraulic clutch set-up; aluminum radiator; shroud and dual fans; fully carpeted floor, console, sides and rear fire wall; original style Smith gauges and original style switches; original style aluminum pin drive wheels- (true knock offs) with lead hammer and wiring pliers kit; original style Mota-Lita wood steering wheel; original style AC pedals, original style catches, fittings, hand brake and shifter w/knob; original style windshield (extruded brass frame with chrome plating); original style aluminum firewall; stainless steel fuel tank; fresh air ventilation system, ducted from front of car to foot boxes. This is a lightweight GRP Composite Epoxy Construction (double skinned, steel reinforced doors, hood and trunk - Great Construction!!! Engine: ROUSH 402 AL CRATE ENGINE 450hp!! An $11,975.00 OPTION AND A TREMEC 3550/10 TRANSMISSION with McLeod clutch and bell housing ($2019.25). This makes this Cobra GO!!!! It is very -drivable!! One of the options was no side pipes - exhaust was done like the original cars ( NO BURNS on legs!). The total cost to install engine and transmission was 18,144.31. This Cobra has 1500 miles on it; it has been shown a few times and has done very well! IT IS NEW!! I have the “Birth Certificate” along with most of the invoices and all of the information on the construction and installation of engine and transmission. This is a GREAT car to own and have a GREAT time driving.! The cost was over 75K; you can own this for 65K and you don’t have to wait for it to be built!
