1955 Ford F-100 truck Custom Cab This truck has a 289 4 barrel with Automatic transmission-Power steering. This is a wonderful restoration of a very solid 1955 F100 Ford custom cab truck, the engine is a 289 4 barrel with headers and dual exhaust, The C-4 Automatic shifts great with a B/M a 2300 stall converter and without any problems. The restoration was done 20 years ago so it does show a little wear but it is still a truck that you can drive anywhere and has fun doing it, including showing it at any show and still come home with awards. The bed is off a later model truck but it has the original fenders, the wood in the bed is till in great shape, it would need refinishing to make it perfect, but it is still show able as is. The paint is great, it has some chips in the paint from use but it does not need repainting, the paint is very slick and the body is very straight. The interior was completely restored with new rubber mat and seat covers and new headliner was installed, the paint on the interior is great and does not need anything. All of the glass was replaced including door, vent and rear glass and windshield; all glass is tinted with new gaskets and belt liners. The doors shut perfect, very solid. The out side door handles were replaced along with rechromed bumpers. All of the weather stripping was replaced during the restoration and they still look new, this truck was kept in a garage, the only time it was not, it was being driven and showed. The am/fm cassette radio works and is mounted under the dash as to keep the dash original, the heater works and the blower switch is next to the heater at the bottom of dash. The power steering is all Ford parts and works great and with out any leaks. The rear end is a Ford ( 9 inch) with 28 splines and no noise. When it was installed new axle bearings and seals were installed. Brakes are drum front and rear and stops great. The wheels are Ford truck and the tires are BFgoodrich Radial T/A’s 255XR60X15 and they look new. The engine has the Cobra valve covers and chrome air cleaner with a high riser intake and 750CFM Holley four barrel carburetor, Crower cam/ 537/555 lift and duration 242/248. The distributor is a Mallory electronic, so you do not have points and condenser to deal with. The radiator is a 3 row and you will not have over heating problems. I have enjoyed many miles driving this truck and it brings many admirers. This will make a very nice show or daily driver truck. VIN: F10VA4327
