Vehicle Description:

1967 GTA Fairlane 289 C code

Description: This is a restored 1967 GTA Fairlane with a 289 4 barrel intake and carburetor and automatic transmission and Power disc-brakes. It placed first at the Fairlane Nationals. The body is very straight and no body panels have been replaced. I have found no rust repair. The GTA interior is like new.

Engine: 289 C code 2 barrel but it has been changed over to a 289 4 barrel. The motor was rebuilt along with the transmission but I do not know the mileage since it was rebuilt. The carburetor is a new Holley with automatic choke. The correct intake for a 4 barrel was installed. It has the correct chrome valve covers and air cleaner and oil cap for the chrome dress up package. New parts that were installed are water pump, radiator, radiator hoses, alternator belt, alternator, plug wires, oil sending unit and temp sending unit. Everything was detailed for show. The motor compartment was painted, all nuts, bolts, brackets were detailed for show. The windshield washer reservoir was replaced also with the correct ford part.

Trans: The transmission is a C-4 and it was rebuilt when the motor was done. No Leaks.

Body: the paint is candy apple red with black interior. The body is very straight and solid, I have found no rust or wreck damage, the quarter panels are original and no damage or rust repair. Even the trunk drop offs are original! The restoration was done so it can be driven and shown; it has all of the original floor pans with out any repair. The rear end was rebuilt and detailed along with the 3.00.1 gears and new brakes and original set of the GT rear leaf springs. The bumpers were replated and all of the aluminum trim was restored to new condition. The grill was highly detailed and the grill GT emblem was replaced with a new one, the head light doors also were polished to new condition. The hood scoops were painted correctly and the chrome was replated and new 289 letters were installed. Hood lip molding was polished also and new hood letters were installed. The out side door handles are new along with all of the weather stripping to include doors. Roof rail, trunk, belt liners and vent glass. New Fairlane letters on quarter panels and new Fairlane GTA trunk lid emblem, even the taillight doors were replated. The GTA stripes and emblems on the front fender have been replaced with new ones; this is one of the best Fairlanes that I have found.

Interior: the interior has been restored completely with new carpet, headliner, door panels, quarter trim panels, seat covers, dash pad, dome lens and bezel, arm rest pads, glove box liner, window handles, quarter window handles. It also has the correct steering wheel and new trim ring on horn pad. The console restored to show quality, the dash bezel and all dash trim looks new and the glove box door was signed by Ricky Rudd # 28. The dash has the clock option along with the seat belt warning light and it has a factory AM radio. The original scuff plates were polished to look like new. The car also has a new left hand remote mirror.

Suspension: The Factory Disc-brakes have been rebuilt including the power brake booster and Master cylinder. All brake calipers and rotors were rebuilt. The rear drum brakes were also done. The front coil springs were replaced and the GT rear leaf springs were also done. The rear end is an 8 inch with 3.00:1 gear ratio and it also was rebuilt including the bearing and seals. The car has new shocks front and rear. The front suspension was gone over and if it needed tie rods or ball joints they were replaced, it should not need any thing. Tires are new BFGoodrich 225x60x15 on a new set of American torque thrust D wheels. The trunk has the spare tie and correct jack.
